Doula +

So what is a doula?

A doula is a person who provides practical, informational and emotional support to a woman and her family during pregnancy, birth as well as postpartum. She helps a woman and her partner have as much of a positive and fulfilling birth experience possible.  We are here to support moms from pregnancy and into motherhood by empowering and educating.

The four visits can be shifted as per the needs and requirements of each mother.  Additional visits may be booked for an extra fee outside of the package fee.

Testimonials +

“The most helpful part of having Dina as my doula was the feeling of being held and supported in the entire birth process - which isn't just the day of delivery - and the confidence it gave me in finding the strength to have the birth that I wanted. It's hard to boil it down to a specific moment in the service or experience. Rather, knowing that the support was ongoing staring from months before the delivery, during and even after the delivery really helped in this feeling of being held and led me to the belief that I could give birth without fear. Two highlights: 1) Her suggesting that I could go epidural-free in a very non judgmental way (I'm stubborn AF) and making me feel that I could do it. If it wasn't for her I would have planned for an epidural! 2) During the birth itself, Dina's presence, energy and touch made for the perfect supportive environment. I really believe its why I was able to dilate from 6 to 10cm in an hour. Her massage/pressure during my contractions is the only reason I could and did do it!” - Sheena

"I really loved Dina's female energy in the room. She also knew EXACTLY where to touch when I was having contractions and she got my through the tough parts. I am so thankful for her support. Dina had the most perfect balance allowing my husband to support me, and then coming in to help me with the contractions when needed. I was worried that a Doula would take away from what my husband had to offer, but it was the exact opposite." - Allie

“My husband and I were so grateful to have Dina with us on the journey and to have a familiar face. She gave us so much love and support, it meant so much to us to have her there - especially since we don’t have family in town, it was nice to have someone who we felt comfortable with helping us throughout. Birth plans don’t always go as “planned” and when my baby was taken to intensive care, it was so important to have Dina there and she never left my side while I waited for baby to return.” - Dana

"The most useful part of having a Dina as our prenatal Doula was that she opened our eyes to the power and beauty of the female body during pregnancy and birth. So many people lead you to believe that pregnancy is a 'condition' or 'illness' that needs to be treated by doctors in hospitals. Although I recognize that modern medicine has its time and place, the doula sessions and reading have made me realize that it should be for the few that really need it, not everyone. I feel more confident in my body's capability and much, much more knowledgeable." - Emma
