Yoga & Meditation

Yoga

Dina teaches a variety of styles of yoga, including her primary style of Jivamukti Yoga. Founded by Sharon Gannon and David Life almost 30 years ago, Jivamukti Yoga is an integrated yoga method that brings back many of the traditional facets of yoga that have been stripped away in our modern interpretation of the practice. Specifically, classes may incorporate any or all of these five fundamental tenets that define the Jivamukti Yoga method: Dhyana (meditation), Shastra (study/philosophy), Ahimsa (non-harming), Bhakti (setting a higher intention), and Nada (deep listening, incorporated in class through music, spoken word or silence).  Through this, students learn not to see asana as separate from spiritual study or chanting or meditation, but rather to integrate all of the elements into one unified practice.

"Whether you find yourself taking the first few steps in your yoga journey or you are a more experienced practitioner, Dina is wonderful teacher that will help and guide you in your path. I love her sense of humor, I seek and enjoy her adjustments and look up to her when it comes to spiritual guidance. Yup, Dina is pretty awesome, very humble and lovable " - Andrea

"I’ve decided to join Dina on her yoga retreat in Sri Lanka after a 10 year hiatus on yoga. And oh am I glad that I did! There’s something very special about her classes... but I believe it’s mainly the energy she exerts. I have always been put off by yoga teachers that let their egos come in the class. With Dina, it’s all about what you are doing, how you are challenging yourself, and most importantly, why are you doing this: for yourself. To heal, to feel better, to detox, to let go, to build confidence, to re-centre." - Tanya

"Dina's class is inspiring, challenging and refreshing all at the same time. She will take you on a journey that will push you further than you thought you could go, and will help you discover physical and emotional clarity you didn't think possible. You will laugh, you will sweat and you will be assisted." - Tania

“I've always enjoyed yoga but in an off-and-on way - I never found a teacher that made me want to be more than casual about it. Since moving to Dubai and getting into Dina's classes, that's changed 100 per cent. Dina is welcoming and approachable, and her classes are challenging but never intimidating. If you're sick of yoga that's just about exercise, give Dina a go. She's the real thing.” - Harriet
